Jan: Thanks for your email. Yepper on those fried bologna sandwiches. Good thing we changed our eating habits over the years. I'll be in Atlanta in October for the Ga Radio Hall of Fame weekend. Maybe we can catch up while I'm there. Hope you enjoy the book

I can't wait to read your book. WQXI to WKLS. I was there when you left WQXI. In fact, you gave me the lobby photograph! Fried bologna sandwiches and someone to talk to in the wee hours of the a.m. I still have the photograph. 40+ years have passed, and it seems like yesterday. The 70's were the greatest!

I have no idea why the book would cause him agitation. No one book is for everyone. Doc and the Judge requires more than a casual read. Hopefully he will give it a second read and email me with any questions about content he doesn't understand. Suggest that to Dave.

I have a very close friend in Modesto, Dave, who thinks your book sucks. Honestly I don't think he's even read it. He and I discussed the book after reading about it in the paper, hearing you on the radio, and hearing comments from others about the book. His face turns red and he seems to get very agitated when I ask him about the book....like he's jealous. What's your take?

Thanks. I've heard from some that they get what they consider to be the "real meaning" of the book on the second read. Enjoy.

Hello, ALC. Great to see your message on the site. You were great to Mari and me when we moved to California; your kindness and support brought laughter and hope to Mari during her darkest days. She loved being with you. Glad to hear that you're nearby...hope to catch up in person soon. Enjoy the book!

Hi Doc,

I read the article about your book in the newspaper. I thought you had moved back to Florida after Mari died so I was quite surprised to find out you are still in Sonora.

I hope you are doing well. I have remarried and after living off and on in Costa Rica for four years, we are living on Lake Tulloch.

I'm looking forward to reading your book.

Thanks, DS Las Vegas! Hoping to make some "house calls" in your city soon. The 70's were special; I'll bet you're speaking from experience. Your movie comment is interesting; the stories have played in my head like a movie for decades. It's so refreshing to have flushed them out and put them on paper. Glad you enjoyed the read.

Doc and The Judge took me on a incredible journey back to the 70’s depicting the crazy world of radio during that decade. The relationship between Doc and the Judge was a realistic portrayal of the dynamic chemistry that can transform two people into a singleness of thought and creativity. Doc's poignant reflections of his past and its relationship to his development as an adult, indicates his insightfulness to life’s experiences as it influences our character and integrity. This book is a must read, not only for its humor, but for its philosophical look at our collective behavior both in the 70’s and today. This book is a movie waiting to happen!
